Very simply, it is helping an individual to get from where they are to where they desire to be. In my practice I help clients to clearly define the desired outcome of the coaching engagement, something I call “Magnetic North”. Once we have identified Magnetic North we develop strategies to remain focused on the destination much as ancient mariners used the North Star to navigate on the open seas.
